Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer with advanced expertise in WordPress and Shopify development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites and e-commerce stores that deliver outstanding user experiences. You will collaborate with our design, content, and marketing teams to bring digital visions to life, ensuring functionality, speed, and scalability across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development:
  

  • Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
    
  • Customize existing themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
    
  • Ensure websites are optimized for performance, security, and SEO best practices.
    
  • Implement responsive designs that work across all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
    
  • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing WordPress websites.
    

• Shopify Development:
  

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes and apps.
    
  • Set up and configure Shopify stores, ensuring functionality and scalability.
    
  • Optimize Shopify websites for speed, performance, and conversions.
    
  • Implement and modify custom features through liquid coding, scripts, and APIs.
    
  • Manage third-party app integrations and troubleshoot any technical issues.
    

• Front-End Development:
  

  • Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create interactive, responsive websites.
    
  • Work with designers to translate mockups into working websites.
    
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first design principles.
    

• Back-End Development:
  

  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress and Shopify.
    
  • Manage and implement database structures to support website functionality.
    
  • Troubleshoot and resolve back-end issues in real-time.
    

• Collaboration & Communication:
  

  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and content teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
    
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.
    
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to implement best practices.
    

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Proven Experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress and Shopify websites.
  
• Expertise in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  
• Advanced Shopify development skills, including liquid templating and API integration.
  
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  
• Familiarity with PHP and MySQL for back-end development.
  
• Experience with Shopify Plus and Shopify Apps is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization for websites.
  
• Understanding of responsive design and ability to create mobile-first websites.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, errors, and technical issues efficiently.
  
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Jira, Asana).
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and checkout processes.
  
• Experience with WooCommerce for WordPress e-commerce websites.
  
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js is a plus.
  
• Experience with RESTful APIs and working with external data sources.
  
• Strong UX/UI design principles to ensure websites are visually appealing and easy to use.
