About the Role

As the Liquid Markets Strategy Lead at Outlier Ventures, you will play a pivotal role in a focused team, exploring the development of a liquid token investment management function. 

Your mission will be to evaluate, establish, and manage liquid trading strategies, while helping drive the growth and success of the ventures that we have partnered with.

Reporting initially directly to the CEO as we set up the function, this role will expose you at the highest level to startup business strategies, fundraising strategies (particularly at the pre-seed, seed, and pre-sale levels), and deep involvement in network building and mapping within the web3 ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liquid Strategy Development: Evaluate and establish liquid trading strategies that align with both project goals and market conditions
  • Startup Business Strategy: Work with web3 startups to shape their business models, drive growth, and navigate market opportunities
  • Fundraising Strategy: Support startups in developing fundraising strategies and creating core materials for pre-seed, seed, and pre-sale levels
  • Project and Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships across markets, exchanges, and other counterparties. Assist in the mapping and networking processes to support our partner teams


We are looking for someone who fits the following profile:


Essential Skills

  • Experience working with crypto, both personally and professionally
  • 6-8 years of professional experience with a strong understanding of liquid hedge fund strategy, agency trading, and market-making
  • Awareness of the regulatory landscape relevant to web3 and crypto
  • Background in technology and operations infrastructure
  • Leadership experience, capable of managing teams and projects

Location

We’re a distributed team working with teams globally. We favour asynchronous work and the meetings are predominantly within European afternoons/US mornings.

Package

Package is subject to relevant experience. It will bias towards performance related bonuses, including the opportunity to invest directly into token projects on the same terms as the Outlier Ventures partnership
