Overview

The Global Emerging Markets (GEM) business covers a comprehensive Emerging Markets (GEM) product suite of Foreign Exchange (FX), Rate and Credit from vanilla to complex products. It also provides financing solutions spanning capital markets, loans, and asset-backed financing, from investment grade to distressed. The Business is looking to hire a quantitative trader with GEM and FX product suite responsibilities across 2 main desks in the Americas region. The trading team is responsible for everything from innovative idea generation through to real-time disciplined management of our trading strategies across electronic and voice execution channels. We partner with sales to serve our client franchise, and technologists to evolve our offering.

What You’ll Do

  • The focus of the role is innovation in quantitative trading, pushing the frontier of our sophistication and automation forward

  • This includes collaborative signal and model research, developing new electronic trading strategies, partnering with our technologists to get those into production, and working with the rest of the trading team to manage the optimization and evolution of the system

  • There will also be opportunities to meet clients, partner with sales and work with them to optimize the liquidity we provide to our client franchise

Skills You’ll Need

  • Strong programming skills, potentially including python, KDB

  • Experience or interest in quantitative research or data analysis

  • Degree or equivalent experience in quantitative disciplines for example Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Computer Science

  • Able to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner to enable effective communication across a diverse range of people and backgrounds

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Analytical aptitude and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Understanding and practical experience of machine learning

  • Self-motivated

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $135K to $175K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
