Job Description

For our Geophysical workshop, supporting equipment preparations and mobilisations for offshore survey work, we are looking for a Geophysical Mobilisation Leader, based in Nootdorp – The Netherlands.

As a Mobilisation Leader for the Geophysical Service Line, you are responsible for the preparation and execution of the mobilisation of geophysical survey equipment to be used on our offshore survey vessels.

You ensure that the equipment is tested and prepared in an effective, efficient, and safe way according to the agreed procedures while considering the project requirements and the situation on board.  Documentation for transport as well as proper registration in the Equipment Management Systems is also part of your duties. In addition, you support the vessels where possible with technical questions, help setting up equipment, and ordering parts required for their operation.

Your role

  • You prepare mobilisation lists for equipment and consumables for projects, and execute mobilisations according to the mobilisation process; 

  • You perform and witness System Acceptance Test (SAT) test before shipment and ensure that equipment shipped has a valid test or load certificate; 

  • You take care of accurate registration of equipment IDs in the Equipment Management System; 

  • You provide loading plans for containers and/or lorries and accurate documentation to the logistic manager for further processing; 

  • You draft and review required procedures/documents and assist with stock control of consumables on board the vessels. 

Your track record

  • You have a completed higher vocational education with preferably an electrical or mechanical background and previous working experience in a similar role; 

  • You have experience with a wide variety of survey equipment including: HRS seismic and HV power supplies, remote operated towed vehicles (EIVA Scanfish), 
    side scan sonars and multibeam echo sounders, Marine magnetometers and GNSS positioning systems; 

  • You have a flexible attitude with the ability to multitask; 

  • You are able to learn about new systems or equipment and help others to do the same; 

  • You are a good communicator with a proactive and systematic approach, and you are fluent in both English (essential) and Dutch (preferred) both written and spoken.
