Medical Affairs AP/CP Pathologist

INDIANA, INDIANAPOLIS (USA). Labcorp is seeking a board certified/eligible AP/CP Pathologist for a position on the global Medical Affairs team supporting Central Laboratory Services.  We provide the largest central laboratory network supporting global clinical trials across various laboratory disciplines with standardized processes and instrumentation in Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the United States. We are hiring a pathologist in our Indianapolis, IN office to join the global Medical Affairs team supporting the world’s largest network of central laboratories. Additional expertise, including cytopathology, is desirable although various skill and training profiles will be considered. This role involves a component of case signout responsibility. Additional duties include providing subject matter expertise and consultative guidance to our internal teams and external partners across all regions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee medical decisions and fulfill regulatory and laboratory duties requiring a pathologist.

  • Collaborate in global trials involving digital imaging and artificial intelligence platforms.

  • Review requests for new test feasibility; approve and assist in providing quotes.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in areas of expertise.

  • Review cases in areas of expertise if applicable (cytology, hematopathology).

  • Review anatomic pathology cases (glass, digital - mostly IHC / H&E, lesion identification).

  • Review and interpret laboratory testing (SPEP, IFE).

  • Participate in investigator meetings / client visits (live, occasional travel).

  • Analyze and respond to internal partners and clients’ medical and pathology-related inquiries.

  • Contribute to development of and approve method validations, support process improvements.

Education and Qualifications:

  • MD or equivalent is required.

  • Eligibility to practice in the United States and receive an Indiana medical license are required.

  • Board certification / eligibility in anatomic / clinical pathology is required.

  • Additional board certification / eligibility is desirable but is not required.

  • Ability to effectively interact with clients at meetings and conferences is essential.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
