Job Summary:
As a Principal Architect at IAIC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape. Working closely with our application developers, you'll ensure our services are built for scale, reliability, and performance, with a focus on continuous product improvement.
You'll provide technical vision, mentorship, and direction to multiple engineering teams while leading our Platform's Community of Practice. This strategic role involves fostering collaboration and prioritization within an innovative technology company that's part of a global holding company.
Our product is a sophisticated platform connecting various internal and external technology environments to deliver a world-class suite of applications to our users and their customers.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership, guiding the direction of projects and teams.
Design and oversee high-level system architectures and make critical architectural decisions.
Mentor and coach to develop a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.
Tackle complex technical challenges and provide clear, actionable solutions.
Collaborate with Product and various departments to align technical efforts with business goals.
Establish and promote high standards for code quality and best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoptions.
Identify and resolve system-wide performance issues.
Contribute to long-term technical strategies and product roadmaps.
Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 years of engineering architecture experience. Startup experience highly preferred.
Background in launching and scaling new software products, preferably in fintech or
insurance industries.
Proven experience with B2B software product portfolios. Acquisition integration experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems that are made up of
disparate components.
Creative problem-solving skills, particularly in finding innovative solutions within constraints.
Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, frameworks, and emerging
technologies.
Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectures, with emphasis on
decentralization and federation.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences,
including executive leadership.
Other:
Some domestic (US) travel is required, mainly Eastern US and some international travel
(UK, EU) is anticipated.
Primary working hours in Eastern US time zone.
