Role description:
We are creating a new entity focused upon accelerating the investment and development of digital solutions which support the asset lifecycle and will position Arcadis as a digital front runner in the fields of digitized asset management, cities and mobility. Our focus is upon accelerating our ability to bring highly scalable digital propositions quickly and seamlessly to both existing and new Arcadis clients across the globe
Role accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain our infrastructure code base (Puppet)
- Build deployment and testing pipelines (Jenkins)
- Automated provisioning of our cloud infrastructure (CloudFormation, Puppet)
- Support and improve our docker based development practice
- Help to mature our DevOps culture and practices
- Show methodical approach in solving complex problems
- Follow agile practices in your daily work
Qualifications & Experience:
- Collaborative, team focus
- Strong communication skills
- Extensive experience working with cloud-based infrastructures (AWS)
- Extensive experience with infrastructure provisioning tools, infrastructure as a service, (such as AWS CloudFormation, Puppet, but relevant experience like Chef, Ansible, Packer, CloudFormation, Terraform is also considered)
- Willingness to learn and research technologies and solutions to build new tools that gets the job done.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (mainly shell, Python, Ruby, but similar scripting experience, like Golang, perl is acceptible)
- Proficiency in building Linux systems (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Debian, etc.)
- Passion for and ability to work with our product development teams to enable and to create our DevOps culture.
- Experience with continuous integration tools (we use Jenkins)
- Experience with application servers, web servers, and databases (WebSphere, Nginx, Oracle, DB, Postgres, etc.)
- Some experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
- Ops team experience
