About You

We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead, manage and direct a team of media buying and planning experts and to be accountable for team growth, account resourcing & management, and maintaining accurate forecasts. Bringing strong experience in resource management, team leadership experience, deep media buying, planning, and strategy expertise are essential for this role. The Team Director, Media Direct has expertise in leading and working with digital media execution and planning. In this role the director will develop strong partnerships with clients to own and grow their accounts and strategies. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience across digital marketing channels to help elevate and guide the Media Direct team on strategy and execution.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage, mentor, and grow members of the media direct team on strategy and execution
  • Lead buying, planning, and strategy and partner with clients as a trusted consultant; educate and inspire team members to do the same
  • Manage and analyze campaign data and provide meaningful, actionable insights
  • Effectively communicate strategy and results to clients in reports and meetings—not just performance of line items, but rather, articulate insights on creative solutions, landing page strategy, and effectiveness of strategy beyond media-centric minutia
  • Support new business initiatives with pre-sales support
  • Ongoing investigation & research of new media opportunities
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years in digital media buying, planning, and strategy, ideally managing campaigns with $100K higher monthly spend
  • Media/Marketing agency experience is preferred, and a background in B2B Marketing is a must
  • Must have hands-on experience planning and buying content syndication and direct publisher programs
  • Account Based Marketing (ABM) experience is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Convertr and/or Integrate is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional relationships with B2B media vendors and lead-gen partners
  • Strong team management, hiring, and mentorship abilities
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work with multiple clients and departments to accomplish goals
  • Ability to influence client decisions and comfortability accompanying the sales team on pitches
  • Superb communication skills - written and oral, presentation skills are key for this role – as is speaking to clients
  • High-end Excel skills: Coding, using advanced formulas and pivot tables
  • Bonus points: knowledge of and experience working with digital channels outside of media direct (IE programmatic, paid social, SEM, etc)

The anticipated salary range for this position is 135K-145K per year. Salary is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, alignment with market data, as well as internal and external equity.
