About the position:

We are currently seeking an ambitious Delegate Account Executive to join our growing event team.  The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to build relationships with senior level executives, is detail-oriented and is driven to excel.  This role is focused on securing participants for our events through email marketing, social selling, calls, and pitches.  Working at the direction of the Director of Marketing this is a key role in our overall event marketing strategy to ensure conversions, achieve delegate participation and drive revenue. 

Our events cover banking, mortgage, wealth management/financial planning, insurance, benefits, accounting and other financial and professional services subject matter.  Experience in selling in one or all of these markets is required.

Core responsibilities:

  • Heavy focus on email marketing; social selling, mainly through LinkedIn; phone calls and selling directly to C-Level and other senior executives
  • Uncover challenges of prospective delegates and have a fundamental understanding of how our programs can address those issues
  • Serve as a primary point of contact to the delegates for questions, scheduling, the event itself and everything in between
  • Register delegates through our event registration system.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to produce event collateral, materials and follow-up
  • Build and maintain relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations
  • Travel to events as necessary
  • Must be comfortable with cold calling to engage potential clients and generate leads effectively

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional & interpersonal communication skills
  • Passion for professional learning and development
  • Self-starter, extremely organized and detailed-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Must be proactive and can work under pressure
  • Balance and prioritize multiple deadlines at once
  • Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Competency with technology and ability to learn new software and applications

Compensation

In addition to base salary the Delegate Sales Account Executive role is compensated on the success of each event.  Commissions are earned based on a combination of revenue, units and ratio of attendees.  Each event has specific KPIs that if achieved yield commissions.
