Overview:

vineyard vines is seeking candidates for a Manager role on our IT team.  This role will report to the Senior Director of IT Application Delivery & Support. Provide operational support for the application platforms supporting the vineyard vines 3PL Distribution Center (DC) in central New Jersey. The primary focus will be the DC’s Manhattan WMOS system. 

There are many exciting initiatives in progress and in our solution demand pipeline that require dedicated technology leadership at our DC, centered on our WMOS system.  These include a transformation of our overarching DC strategy, the introduction of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tracking and many other initiatives to improve the efficiency of our supply chain operations and adapt to a dynamically changing logistics environment.  

We need a leader with hands-on Manhattan WMOS configuration and implementation experience, Integration knowledge and a strong PL/SQL background.  who can demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, show initiative and both excellent communication & teamwork skills.  Success will be measured by the quality and timeliness of Project Delivery and Incident Response, as well as feedback on business and 3PL (3rd Party Logistic) partnership and collaboration.  We would prefer some experience in the apparel and accessories industry as well, ideally in a high volume, multi-channel facility. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Thought leadership and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in industry best-practice
  • Lead all IT solution delivery and support activities involving the Manhattan WMOS platform for our 3PL DC operation, including personally handling configuration requirements and changes.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Manage vendor partner relationships, resource planning, work planning and assignments, cost tracking and performance management. 
  • Manage all aspects of testing for changes required to support new solution delivery or on-going operational support needs.  This includes test script development, test execution, documentation of test results and troubleshooting test-related challenges.
  • Manage business partner relationships and communications including the development of business cases for potential initiatives, providing guidance on opportunities to leverage technology to help achieve business goals, communicating regular updates regarding solution delivery and support agendas and helping to forge cross-functional alignment where necessary.
  • Partner closely with other IT teams, including the other IT application delivery & support teams, the IT Infrastructure & Security team, the IT Help Desk team, and the IT PMO team to ensure the IT team as a whole delivers well against the overall project and support agenda.
  • Foster a culture of Service excellence, continuous learning and innovation within the department.

What You Bring:

  • 5-10 years of overall professional experience.  Proven experience (3-5 years) with hands-on experience in with Manhattan OS or i series software in a warehouse environment
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations.  Supply chain management best practices, primarily in logistics.  Industry-specific experience in apparel is a plus. 
  • Integration experience (Automation, MIF)
  • Strong PL/SQL background
  • High level of competency with Microsoft applications, including Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate insightful analysis and recommendations to various levels of management, including Directors & Vice Presidents
  • Demonstrable ability to lead Supply Chain system projects from conception to implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve to root-cause, complex issues
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical decisions with business goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A high level of accountability and teamwork skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and a passion for solving problems
  • Flexibility to handle a dynamic environment with multiple priorities in play at once
  • Self-initiative and ability to operate effectively on your own, as a single IT representative working with our business, 3PL and external IT partners
