Role:
This position can be work from home but must live in the Tampa FL area.
The Finance Manager assists with the oversight of the day-to-day finance functions for all the Organization’s entities including monthly closing, financial statement preparation and analysis, and other special projects. Responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, outcomes, and reporting of assigned finance functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience preferably in a multi-entity setting
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience
  • Solid understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong knowledge and competency in accounting/payroll
  • Proficient in the advanced use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and complex financial and payroll systems
  • Professional attitude with strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment, remaining proactive, detailed oriented, resourceful and efficient
  • Proven successful experience leading, coaching and mentoring
  • Proficient in time management with the ability to prioritize a variety of duties
  • Ability to work independently exercising a high degree of discretion and judgement
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with providing financial statements for all the Organization’s entities to the Director of Finance and completes the monthly financial statements for all entities.
  • Provides Management with support and guidance with respect to financial results and variance analysis per deadlines.
  • Assists with the coordination of annual audit, 990 tax returns, and Medicare cost reports.
  • Reviews and maintains the general ledger system for accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Oversees the preparation of the reconciliation and roll forward of records pertinent to the general ledger.
  • Resolves or escalates financial or accounting issues and ensures resolutions meet all GAAP/compliance standards. 
  • Supervises, directs, and trains personnel involved in detailed accounting entries and internal/external financial reporting.  Directs daily activities of direct reports and communicates organizational information, goals and policies to the staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
