Position Overview

 

The Manager, Sales Development is expected to effectively manage the day-to-day activities and process adherence of the Sales Development team as defined by the VP of Sales. This role will utilize the existing sales stack to ensure maximum efficiency across the team with the goal of consistently providing sub-5-minute response times to all lead sources. They will also be responsible for leading the Outbound motion (TDR’s) which includes developing list, optimizing territories and ensuring our Outbound strategy is performing. This role will continue the work already established within the org and look for new ways of further improving the scripting, training, new hire onboarding, and any other areas as required. The ability to manage, assess, and coach to the prescribed key metrics on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis is expected. The Manager, Sales Development will work directly with the VP of Sales in defining and implementing the ongoing sales response and engagement strategy per the CRO and will have the ability to quickly understand and implement changes with extreme efficiency and accuracy.  This role will also be responsible for hiring and recruiting new sales development reps as well as effectively managing low-performing existing reps as needed.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Fully understand all current sales development processes
  • Carry and exceed your team’s quota
  • Recruit, interview, and hire excellent SDR’s at scale
  • Onboard and train SDR’s to develop sales skills and deep product knowledge
  • Developing and continuously improving lead qualification using established criteria such as ANUM – Authority, Need, Urgency, Money 
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable and predictable process for developing and growing the SDR Inbound and Outbound practice while improving efficiency and keeping the team energized and motivated. 
  • Work with the team to build career plans for each high-performing TDR’s and SDR’s
  • Work closely with Marketing and RevOps to ensure alignment on your team’s strategy and execution
  • Collect data and metrics for Weekly Numbers reporting, then deliver to the VP of Sales 
  • Conduct weekly One-on-One’s with each member of your team to review KPI’s, Quotas and other performance indicators

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least two years managing a Sales Development Team, with both Inbound and Outbound experience
  • Experience with building outbound phone/email campaigns and strategic messaging 
  • Experience with power dialer and/or predictive dialer
  • Experience managing from a sales stack 
  • Creative and persistent in outreach methods to obtain meetings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce Preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales process in both short and long sales cycles
  • Ability to communicate concepts to non-technical end users
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
