Description -

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Writing Systems Team within the Customer Assurance Organization. The main focus for this engineer will be on applications development at the HP Graphics Experience Center based in Alpharetta (Atlanta). The engineer will also be part of the Tier4 team supporting escalations from customers in the area.

This role will include significant customer-facing activities working together with Go-To-Market team to enable and demonstrate a wide range of applications on HP PageWide Web Presses, especially on the Advantage A2200.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate system settings and solutions to ensure customer needs are met. Master interactions between Productivity-Image Quality-Durability and Cost per print
  • Document and communicate optimal settings and end-to-end configurations for each application
  • Support Sales and Solutions Architects in product demonstrations and help responding to customer’s technical questions during the sales cycle
  • Assist, including onsite visits, Services and end Customers when they encounter problems to deliver their applications with quality and productivity
  • Be familiar with latest features, SW releases, hotfixes, … to ensure presses are ready to deliver optimal performance
  • Understand 3rd party solutions landscape to expand the range of applications
  • Capture feedback and learnings from the field and GTM partners, and transfer to the rest of the organization

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields
  • > 4 years working with Digital Printing technology. Experience in Packaging and Commercial presses is preferred
  • Desired experience interacting with customers
  • Demonstrated Problem solving experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong customer focus, obsessed in understanding and finding solutions to customer needs
  • Detail-oriented, desire and proven ability to use data and analytical methods to investigate/solve issues
  • Ability to work across the broader organization, local and remote, including R&D and Services organizations.
  • Highly motivated with technical and business challenges. Ability to understand and weigh both aspects of a situation, ultimately driving for an optimized solution.

Job level: Expert

Location: Alpharetta

The base pay range for this role is $90,100 to $138,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
