Job description

What is Covenantz?

Covenantz is a revolutionary data company with a unique platform for verifying and validating industry data. This is an exciting time at Covenantz. We are building KiRegistry, the world’s first and only transactional archival network focused on the Built Environment (e.g., construction, manufacturing, design). Covenantz provides proprietary technology to integrate industry silos because we believe that if people had better data, they could make better decisions.

What makes KiRegistry unique?

KiRegistry’s mission is to change how the world builds.  KiRegistry is a digital world (multiplayer “ecosystem”) where builders can dream, create, collaborate, and profit without the worry, waste, fraud, and delays they experience in the material world.

KiRegistry is a financial and archival transactional network AND a collaborative team ecosystem for the Built Environment that includes several innovative FEATURES:

  • It is free to join. Unlike most platforms that charge per-seat fees.

  • Global Product Library. KiRegistry hosts the world’s first geo-based carbon tracking, calculation, and provenance product library for the built environment (no one else is even attempting this).

  • KiMarketplace. KiRegistry hosts a global marketplace where manufacturers and suppliers can offer products and services to project owners and specifiers. It is similar to Amazon but is dedicated to verifying the construction and design of products.

  • Transactional Archive. Project data and transactions can be archived during construction and perpetuity to protect project owners and avoid legal conflicts.

  • B2B Network. Members network and collaborate inside and outside the projects they work on.

  • Financial and Transactional Platform: The Intelligent Covenant Management (ICM) Platform supports financial transactions within and specifying for projects worldwide. Covenantz operates the network engine, which processes premium data features through a paywall for a small performance fee. Most of the KiRegistry features can be utilized for free. The project acceleration features trigger a paywall and become part of the Covenantz processing system.

With KiRegistry, project owners can track, validate, and manage risks in real-time, accelerating projects and achieving more profitable outcomes.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Product Manager to spearhead the development of KiRegistry in collaboration with external software development agencies and subcontractors. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the product roadmap, ensuring timely and successful delivery, and aligning technical execution with business goals. You will work closely with the founder & CTO to drive product vision and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision:

    • Define, communicate, and own the product vision, roadmap, and strategy based on market trends, customer feedback, and business goals.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish clear product priorities and objectives.

    • Ensure product alignment with business strategy, balancing innovation with technical feasibility.

  • Agency & Subcontractor Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for external development agencies and subcontractors.

    • Manage relationships with external partners, including defining scope, timelines, and deliverables.

    • Ensure agencies adhere to technical specifications, coding standards, and project milestones.

    • Conduct regular progress reviews and mitigate any risks to ensure project success.

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable technical specifications.

    • Review technical documentation, including architecture, APIs, and integration plans, to ensure alignment with product goals.

    • Assess and resolve technical challenges that arise during the development lifecycle.

    • Advocate for scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions.

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee project timelines, dependencies, and risks to ensure on-time delivery of key milestones.

    • Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, including user stories, sprints, and retrospectives.

    • Prioritize and manage the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders, balancing short-term and long-term goals.

    • Ensure the effective communication of project updates, risks, and blockers across all stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Analyze product performance metrics to guide iteration and continuous improvement.

    • Use data to inform decisions regarding new features, optimizations, and future product iterations.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

    • Proven experience working with external software development agencies or subcontractors.

    • Strong background in managing end-to-end product development for software applications.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Solid understanding of software development practices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and systems architecture.

    • Experience working in agile and scrum environments.

    • Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and understand complex systems and architectures.

  • Project Management Skills:

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and external teams simultaneously.

    • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.

    • Ability to clearly communicate project progress and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of driving cross-functional teams and agency partners toward common goals.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality software products on time.

    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with managing distributed teams and remote agencies.

    • Prior experience in a technical role such as software engineering or systems architecture is a plus.

    • Familiarity with PHP, Laravel, AG Grid, and AWS.
