The Opportunity


(REMOTE POSITION)


The Sr. Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operational Excellence plays a crucial role in driving growth across the business. As a member of the North America Senior Leadership Team, they are responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve organizational goals and drive efficiency across the business. In this role, they will collaborate across the organization with various teams including finance, sales, marketing, corporate accounts, distribution, omni-channel, etc. They will also be responsible for running operational processes, analyzing situations, and communicating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy development, business analytics, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration.


Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:


Strategy and Operations

  • In conjunction with the N.A. Senior Leadership Team, develop and execute Strategic Initiatives that are aligned with Dechra’s vision, mission, goals, and values
  • Lead the development of materials to update the Senior Executive Team and Advisory Board on Key Strategic Initiatives
  • Commercial support for Business Development opportunities


Insight and Analytics

  • Build an insight and analytics framework for North America including primary and secondary research


Operational Excellence:

Institute commercial excellence across the North American organization by creating frameworks and process optimization for:

  • Business case development
  • Forecasting/supply planning
  • Business/Operating planning
  • Ways of working across teams
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.


Project management:

  • Develop and lead annual Strategic Operational planning efforts across North America
  • Partner with the President, North America on agenda development, speaker identification and execution of bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly Senior Leadership Team Meetings.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with department heads to ensure alignment of strategies and operational initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication across teams to enhance overall performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between different business units to facilitate effective decision-making.
