Position Summary
The Events Manager is responsible for creating, planning, executing, and managing impactful marketing of all ECRI events produced by Marketing – such as but not limited to in-person and virtual domestic and international B2B conferences, reverse expos, and national and regional tradeshows, as well as virtual and on-site events and webinars. Specifically, this position will collaborate with Marketing and Product Line leaders to identify and prioritize the most impactful events to achieve the organization’s annual operating plans and long-term awareness goals across the healthcare industry. You will help to define strategy and tactics to achieve the event objectives, including but not limited to the following tasks: identify appropriate speaking topics and speakers to positively position ECRI as a thought leader, manage all event logistics, create marketing communications around event to prospects, and lead the cross-functional team to achieve project timelines. You will select, negotiate, and finalize contracts with hotels, venues, on-line event platforms and vendors. You will also develop detailed schedules for the conference, scheduling team members and assigning responsibilities at each conference to ensure a successful outcome. You will be the leader and go-to-person of on-line webinars and virtual events, including day of event hands-on meeting logistics, in-meeting support, presentation coordination, attendee registration, etc. You will create and execute a detailed event calendar that is coordinated with marketing campaigns, assist in lead tracking and report on key performance metrics.

Essential Functions - The job involves successful, timely coordination of ECRI’s participation in 30+ external trade show exhibits (national, regional and international) per year including any receptions or events associated with exhibits. Duties include:
- Research and identify potential speaking and exhibition opportunities; determine overall company objectives and suggest shows that align with those objectives; research and share innovative ideas for attracting the appropriate audience to our presentations, booth and receptions.
- Planning and executing marketing events, such as trade shows, webinars, virtual events, and customer-related events.
- Build presentation and materials support, and pre-and post-event evaluations.
- Coordinates facility, exhibit set-up, equipment, and catering requirements.
- Provide on-site event support.
- Assist with meeting planning, including recurring monthly team meetings.
- Strategic planning and execution of messages related to an event. This involves crafting and delivering information to various stakeholders, such as attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and media, to ensure they are informed, engaged, and prepared for the event.
- Track speaking submissions for appropriate conferences.
- Plan annual exhibit schedule and create annual exhibit budget; track expenses and ensure proper budget compliance.
- Ensure consistency in branding, key messaging, and audience experience at shows/events.
- Analyze & provide reporting to measure the effectiveness of programs.
- Communicate results, as well as opportunities for improvement to stakeholders in marketing, sales and leadership.
- Coordinate all exhibit logistics such as: booth payment, ordering, packing and shipping. booth storage and maintenance, and all other exhibit details.
- Developing marketing communications (emails, social media, advertising, etc.) for external events.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 4-6 years of proven experience in B-to-B trade show or event marketing in the healthcare industry (hospital, payer, device manufacturer, healthcare analytics and software) is preferred
- Ability to manage virtual events when and where necessary (proficient in some of the more popular virtual event management platforms)
- Excellent leadership, project management, and customer service skills
- Proven ability to manage budget allocation and track results
- Experience working with sales teams and exhibit contractors
- Willingness to take initiative and proactively follow up with clients/coworkers on outstanding issues without being asked
- Organized, detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team player that is task and deadline driven, but can also be a self-starter who can work independently
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing environment
- Personable attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritize and/or seek assistance in determining task priority
- Frequent light-to-moderate lifting and booth logistical support
Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, project management, or related discipline.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Products (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft CRM, and HubSpot (or similar e-mail marketing platforms)

This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
