Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join a dedicated team committed to pioneering advanced technologies for one of the premier defense research organizations in the nation. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the evolution of laser radar technology, collaborating with a group of talented professionals who are focused on delivering impactful and strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, which includes the design, coding, and debugging of applications utilizing various programming languages.
• Execute software assessments, code reviews, and system risk analyses to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA and OOD) to develop effective software models and simulations.
• Create intuitive front-end graphical interfaces, as well as conduct software testing and quality assurance to optimize system performance and user experience.
• Maintain and document software functionality while integrating innovative solutions with existing systems.
• Investigate and propose new technologies to enhance compliance with industry standards and support software localization or globalization efforts.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in software and algorithm development, with strong capabilities in documentation.
• Extensive experience in C/C++ programming, especially with C++11 or later, as well as familiarity with the Standard Template Library and Boost Library.
• Knowledgeable in GIT/GITHUB and have experience with Java and JavaScript development.
• Familiar with MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, Play) and the principles of object-oriented software design.
• Competent in XML, SQL, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Proven track record of effective hardware and software integration, capable of working independently or as part of a small development team.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in software/algorithm development.
• A minimum of 3 years working with software documentation, C/C++ programming, and Java/JavaScript development along with MVC frameworks.
• Solid grounding in object-oriented design, XML, SQL, and build tools, coupled with 5 years of experience in hardware and software integration.

Work Location:
