Job Overview

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to become an integral part of our Project Management practice group, with a focus on financial integration projects for esteemed global clients within the healthcare and life sciences domains. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an individual dedicated to facilitating successful financial integration initiatives within a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and outline the project charter and scope, while assessing impacts and establishing implementation strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations in collaboration with international stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of financial projects, employing your expertise to drive effective outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to GxP validation requirements throughout the duration of the projects.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements, prioritizing implementations that align with organizational IT strategies.
  • Utilize various methodologies—such as waterfall, iterative, and Agile—to harmonize business and IT needs, while providing mentorship to team members.
  • Employ project management tools like Planview and JIRA to enhance productivity and streamline project management processes.
  • Adapt your communication style effectively for interaction with global teams, considering time zone differences and cultural diversity in a dynamic setting.
  • Develop and execute operational and technical project plans, facilitating project gate reviews and proactively addressing any issues to ensure milestone achievement.
  • Manage project scope and changes, identify and address risks, prioritize conflicting needs, and ensure project completion with minimal supervision, often under tight deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and management, continuously seeking avenues for improvement in project delivery.
  • Exhibit adaptability by embracing new projects as priorities evolve, responding proactively to shifting needs.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with at least 3 years dedicated to financial integrations.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceuticals or medical devices industries.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience (10 years in information technology projects).
  • PMP certification is advantageous.

Preferred Experience And Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in financial project implementations, encompassing feature enhancements, upgrades, releases, and lifecycle management.
  • Proficient stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with GxP validation procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey project status, risk mitigations, benefits, and financial outcomes to various management levels.
  • A self-driven and independent thinker, capable of steering teams during conflicts while maintaining focus on business objectives.
  • Proficient in project management frameworks, including estimation guidelines, resource management, gate reviews, quality audits, and process enhancements.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills in a high-paced environment, with the ability to manage responsibilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams amid competing priorities.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and team members with diverse personal styles, particularly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
