Key Responsibilities

  • Employ data science methodologies to combat fraud in consumer-facing SaaS applications, enhancing decision-making processes for fraud risk management.
  • Create and implement sophisticated machine learning and statistical models aimed at detecting fraudulent activities.
  • Analyze extensive transactional datasets to uncover trends indicative of fraud.
  • Develop real-time fraud monitoring systems to identify and flag suspicious activities promptly.
  • Continuously assess and refine fraud detection models to achieve optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Generate key performance metrics for fraud protection and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Design and optimize algorithms for effective pattern recognition and risk assessment.
  • Work closely with business and risk teams to define key metrics and evaluate overall risk profiles.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of fraud cases to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Present analytical results and solutions to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead analytical projects from inception through to completion.
  • Stay informed about evolving trends, regulations, and issues within the fraud and risk landscape.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations for comprehensive fraud protection strategies.

Required Skills

  • Extensive proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
  • Experience with Docker containers.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge), and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on fraud analytics.
