Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Finance Director to take on a pivotal leadership role that will influence our financial strategy and drive operational efficiency. This position is integral to our organizational success, focusing on the development and execution of financial plans that align with our strategic objectives and enhance decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring alignment with our core values and culture.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and the Board to formulate financial strategies that reflect the organization’s vision.
  • Spearhead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, working closely with department leaders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage multi-state compliance, overseeing the registration and renewal of business licenses.
  • Foster effective communication within the finance team and across departments, utilizing technology to streamline processes.

Required Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient accounting abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Power Query and PowerBI functions, as well as QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Capacity to cultivate positive relationships, provide staff training, and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Director or in a similar capacity, ideally within a multi-state organization.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics, principles, and essential business acumen.
