Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization, which has been a leader in providing expert accounting, auditing, and consulting services for over 40 years. We are committed to upholding the principles of honesty, integrity, and transparency while establishing lasting relationships with our clients. We are currently seeking a dedicated SBA Loan Auditor to become an integral part of our Consulting Department, supporting a contract with the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Credit Risk Management. In this remote position, you will collaborate with a team of analysts to conduct comprehensive reviews of commercial loan files for financial institutions participating in the SBA's 7(a) Guaranteed Loan Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform meticulous loan file reviews in alignment with established due diligence protocols to guarantee compliance with SBA 7(a) regulations.
  • Employ proprietary software to document findings during loan file evaluations and generate internal reports for the SBA's Risk-Based Review assessments.
  • Support additional administrative duties as directed by the Senior Financial Analyst.

Required Skills

  • At least 4 years of recent experience with SBA 7(a) loan programs, including 7(a) Standard and 7(a) Small Express.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial loan activities, ensuring adherence to standard due diligence practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of SBA's 7(a) Loan Program Requirements, including the loan application process, eligibility requirements, underwriting, and loan closing procedures.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience related to collections or management of special assets for SBA 7(a) loans.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently, assess financial data, derive key indicators, and pinpoint credit risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and strong written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to effectively collaborate with a fully remote review team distributed across the U.S.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is advantageous; however, a candidate with 10+ years of direct SBA 7(a) loan experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight and to consult when faced with complex issues.

Compensation And Benefits
