Job description

Shiftmove (ex Avrios, ex Vimcar) is born from a merger of two of Europe's leading fleet management companies on a mission to build Europe's leading fleet tech company.

Driven by smart people and innovative ideas, and backed by one of the leading technology and software-focused private equity firms, Shiftmove is building award-winning SaaS solutions for mobility management.

Join our open-minded, humble, and honest group of more than 200 people from over 35 countries, who are all committed to building a better future for our clients and the industry as a whole.

As our Director of Finance, you will drive financial strategy across accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance to support Shiftmove’s expansion and operational excellence.
In this role, you will contribute to the success of one of the fastest-growing profitable business mobility companies in Europe, not only from an accounting and tax perspective but also play a key role in shaping the future of our company as we expand across Europe.

Your day-to-day will include
  • Group Accounting & Consolidation – Lead group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs, while managing intercompany transactions and ensuring timely closings.
  • People Management - Manage and mentor a team of finance leaders, fostering a high-performance, trust-based environment
  • Statutory Compliance - Ensure compliance with regulations and other relevant accounting and financial frameworks. Lead audits and regulatory reporting requirements. Handle the debt financing credit facilities, including regular financial reporting to creditors.
  • Taxation: Manage international and corporate tax matters, ensuring precise reporting and full statutory compliance (including IFRS and deferred tax considerations). Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to optimize tax strategies.
  • Change management: Lead change management efforts e.g. during M&A, ensuring smooth integration and alignment across teams, processes, and systems.

  • Your profile
  • You have extensive experience in group accounting, consolidation, and leading finance teams, with a proven ability to handle and optimise complex international tax and accounting challenges. You're comfortable organizing responsibilities across teams and managing the balance between a shared service center and local approaches. Plus, you’re skilled in areas like intercompany setups (Transfer Pricing, Intercompany loans) and cash flow management.
  • Hands-On Leader: You can roll up your sleeves, whether it's leading your team through IFRS implementation, tackling intercompany complexities, or improving cash flow management. You’re great at moving projects forward and delivering results quickly.
  • Empathetic Mentor: You understand how to structure teams and responsibilities across multiple entities. Your leadership builds trust and empowers your team to perform their best, emphasising collaboration and accountability.
  • Clear Communicator: You're skilled at taking complex financial data and system challenges and making them easy to understand, guiding senior stakeholders to make the right strategic decisions. You stay ahead of tax and cash flow issues, ensuring nothing falls through.

  • Our offer to you
  • Join a forward-thinking company where you can shape the future of mobility operations in Europe combined with the opportunity to grow into a broader finance leadership role over time!
  • Shiftmove is an established and profitable product-orientated company in DACH, Poland, Italy AND France!
  • Hybrid setup: We have a beautiful office in the heart of Berlin, but how much time you want to work from home or onsite is up to you and your team
  • A dog-friendly office and plenty of flexibility to take care of what matters most
  • 12 weeks of remote working to work from any country or continent!
  • Mental health support: access to the Nilo.health platform for sessions with a psychologist + 1 day for mental health 🌱
  • A learning budget of EUR 2000
  • 30 paid holiday days per year
  • The choice of a range of company benefits, such as membership of the Urban Sports Club, JobRad or a subsidised BVG ticket
  • SOUNDS LIKE YOU?

If you don't tick all the boxes however you think you'll thrive in this role we would like to learn more about you.

Shiftmove is an equal-opportunity employer. We believe diverse experiences and demographic characteristics that have nurtured unique viewpoints benefit our growth and performance. Just be yourself and maybe you’ll bring something valuable to the role we didn't initially think of.
