The Technology & Architecture Team is a pioneering competence center, that unites senior professionals from different architectural backgrounds. Together we guide the development and continuous improvement of a high-performance, scalable, and secure payment system.

To allow TWINT to grow and expand, we need you in the role of a Lead Platform Stream Architect - in Zurich or Bern with Home Office.

Your impact at TWINT:

• Member of the value stream platform leadership team, working with the Head of Value Stream and a Value Stream Architect to lead the platform
• Collaborate with lead architects through the Technology and Architecture Chapter to define the target architecture for TWINT
• Co-lead the Platform Architecture Guild to ensure knowledge sharing across all value streams within TWINT
• Guide architectural decisions using best practices in infrastructure and platform services management
• Plan and develop TWINT’s network, compute, storage, security infrastructure, and hybrid cloud setup, integrating on-premise systems with hyperscaler environments
• Lead the development of Continuous Integration and Delivery architecture, supporting efficient code delivery for developer teams
• Contribute to observability architecture to ensure effective system monitoring
• Design caching and event-streaming platforms tailored to TWINT's needs
• Ensure technical governance and evaluate new technologies relevant to TWINT
• Create concepts and detailed design documentation

Your Profile:

• A degree in computer science (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• Several years of solid practical and project experience in complex cloud IT landscapes, ideally in the payment industry
• Extensive experience in building microservice architectures on Kubernetes
• Several years of experience in building and operating CI/CD architecture
• Experience with cloud provider migrations and operating hybrid cloud architectures (ideally AWS, certification is a plus)
• A hands-on approach, high sense of responsibility, strong initiative, independence, and entrepreneurial spirit
• Strong leadership and technical management skills
• Experience with agile project methodologies (certification is a plus)
• An analytical and structured work style, solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills
• Excellent German and English language skills
