Job Overview

Join our esteemed nonprofit organization as a Part-Time Instructor specializing in Roadway Safety. We are dedicated to advocating for safety and mitigating the leading causes of preventable injuries and fatalities. Through our focus on leadership, research, education, and advocacy, we strive to make a significant impact in key areas such as:

  • Workplace Safety
  • Roadway Security
  • Impairment

In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of saving lives and preventing injuries by conducting virtual car seat checks and facilitating educational sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging virtual and hands-on training sessions centered on occupant protection safety using the comprehensive curriculum and resources we provide.
  • Encourage participant involvement and assess the effectiveness of each educational session.
  • Represent our organization during virtual and in-person training events, ensuring effective management of all supporting materials and records.
  • Participate in the evaluation of courses and trainers to continuously enhance our educational offerings.

Required Skills

  • U.S.-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
  • In-depth knowledge of child passenger safety, occupant protection systems, and crash dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) as outlined in the Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Training curriculum.
  • Experience engaging with underserved communities.
  • Proven ability to connect with diverse audiences effectively.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a high degree of professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to U.S.-certified CPST instructors.
  • Previous experience in child passenger safety education is essential.
