This ideal candidate will be located in Illinois, Kansas, Georgia, or Florida.

The Billing Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing while maintaining compliance with internal policies and government regulations. This role involves managing and training staff, implementing billing controls, and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues. The supervisor is also tasked with monitoring billing metrics, conducting audits, and participating in continuous process improvements to enhance the department's efficiency and accuracy.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the billing department, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Train and develop staff on billing procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve billing-related issues.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent billing errors.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify potential billing discrepancies.
  • Monitor key billing metrics to identify errors, trends, or areas for improvement.
  • Participate in and contribute to projects aimed at improving billing processes and systems.
  • Stay informed about state and federal tax regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the billing operations.


Requirements
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, demonstrating strong team management skills and the ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel for data analysis, financial reporting, and process optimization.
  • Strong expertise in billing software systems, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in billing and financial records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
