Job description

We seek highly competent and professional Advanced Practice Providers (APP’s) with excellent communication skills and a passion for preventative medicine. Curative offers an innovative approach to health insurance where members receive $0 deductible, $0 co-pay for in-network care. The APP will be responsible for performing virtual Baseline Visits as an intake for the Curative Health Plan. The Baseline Visit is a 30 minute visit focused on keeping our new members healthy through wellness, risk-assessment and prevention. Our clinicians conduct a targeted medical history and medication review with suggested next steps, including USPTF recommended screenings.

New Graduate APP’s who are accepted will be enrolled in bi-weekly education and case review with a Lead Physician

This is a remote contract position with the option to work anywhere within the US with an active and unencumbered TX license (extensions granted based on the needs of the health plan).

Training will begin in December 2024 with an expected contract duration until May 2025

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Obtain and accurately document a thorough medical history in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide preventative medical screenings to patients including advising on preventative screenings and immunizations.
  • Provide education on nutrition, physical activity and other lifestyle habits.
  • Order and interpret labs that are offered as part of the baseline visit.
  • Consult with the supervising physician regarding complicated patients with urgent needs.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current active and unencumbered license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask effectively.
  • Must have excellent communication and written skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable with learning and using new technology and software.
  • Must have reliable high speed internet and a workspace that is HIPAA compliant.

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • 2+ years hands on experience in a Family Medicine setting
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • 30-40 hours per week
  • This is a contract position and may occasionally require evening or limited weekend work.
