Job description

Become an Assembler! We are looking for an Orthopedic Coding Specialist to join our Physician RCM division. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Coding Manager.

What you'll do

Code for orthopedic and other surgicalprocedures or evaluation and management codes per CPT guidelines.
Code diagnosis per ICD 10 CM standards.
Link CPT and ICD 10 codes whenappropriate for posters.
Append modifiers when necessary.
Review CCI for multiple procedures.
Review LMRP and NCD for CPT codes.
Work denials and aged claims.
Attend department meetings and other general staff meetings.
Other tasks as needed.

What we're looking for

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Orthopedic Surgical Coder (COSC) required.
Twoplus years of Orthopedic coding experience required.
Basicknowledge of billing and insurance procedures
Abilityto use MicroMD software
Strongcommunication and customer service skills
Abilityto work independently and with a team
Ability to function well in a fast-paced andat times stressful environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk andworking at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to10 pounds at times
