Sr. Manager, Parcel Transportation (Remote)

Location: Remote-Based in Columbia,MD

Salary Range: 90k-110k annual salary

Position Summary: As a member of the Standvast team you will own parcel and final mile delivery, including managing carrier contracts, transportation management systems, planning and analytics.

Responsibilities :

• Own the relationship between Standvast and our carriers.
• Responsible for the profitability of Standvast’s parcel transportation program. Including defining rate cards to ensure the program meets profitability targets. Deep diving in data to identify areas of non-performance and areas for expansion.
• Own delivery performance. Regularly conduct root causes analysis to identify areas for improvements and drive programs and projects to hit improvement goals.
• Own the relationship with our third-party shipping system including system configuration and ongoing trouble-shooting for new and existing clients.
• Responsible for managing critical pull-time and following up on missed pickups
• Responsible for auditing carrier invoices, filing claims and resolving any disputes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in program management
• 5 to 7 years’ experience managing parcel programs, preferably at an ecommerce company.

• Ability to communicate with stakeholders from the CEO to front line managers as well as tech leaders and customers.
• Self-Motivating and supportive in a team setting
• Ability to learn new subjects in mathematics and data analytics on your own.
• Willing to roll up the sleeves and help where needed – flexible

• Physical demands, ability to sit for long periods

Additional Skills that are highly valued:

• A degree in hard sciences, econometrics, operations research, mathematics, or statistics is a plus.
• Six Sigma/Lean/OE background a plus
• Experience in Python and SQL
• Experience with Tableau or other BI platforms.
