Collaborating with our managed services and consulting business units, you will actively participate in the sales cycle, from initial outreach through contract negotiation and closure, delivering tangible results. This salaried, non-commission role reports to the Sierra-Cedar EVP responsible for technical sales, alliances, and marketing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Execution – Develop and execute targeted sales strategies that effectively position our services to meet client needs, driving the sales process from initial engagement through contract close.
  • Collaboration with Business Units – Work closely with our AWS managed services and consulting teams, as well as commissioned sales team members, to align service offerings with client needs, provide resources, and facilitate a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
  • Pricing Estimates – Develop pricing estimates by analyzing client-provided data, collaborating with architects on tailored designs, and integrating internal data from similar projects.
  • Proposal Development – Partner with business unit sales teams to draft, negotiate, and refine proposals, aligning them with client expectations and company objectives.
  • Networking and Market Presence – Actively participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and joint marketing efforts to expand our market presence and build a pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Communication and Documentation – Create clear, concise, and persuasive communications, including sales proposals, presentations, and internal reports, to effectively convey the value of our services to diverse audiences.

Supporting Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Work with industry business unit leaders, services delivery teams, and clients to identify needs, design service approaches, and build strong, lasting relationships that support and refine successful sales and delivery outcomes.
  • Marketing Coordination – Partner with the marketing team to develop targeted content for marketing collateral, participate in industry events, and contribute to campaigns that promote our services and enhance brand visibility.
  • Competitive Analysis – Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to adjust sales strategies and strengthen our competitive positioning.
  • Contract Management – Manage contract drafting and negotiation elements, using templates for standard sections and focusing on achieving agreements that meet both parties' requirements.
  • Client Issue Resolution – Work with relevant teams to resolve client issues during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, address concerns, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Service Innovation – Contribute to exploring and developing new consulting and managed services offerings, particularly focusing on emerging technologies within the AWS ecosystem.
