Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Manager of Sales Taxes & Licenses / Accounting to lead our tax and licensing operations. This role will oversee all sales tax reporting, financial compliance, and administrative processes to ensure timely and accurate filings. You will collaborate with various teams to manage and analyze financial data, develop marketing strategies, and foster smooth team communication. Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, tax management, or financial reporting.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative management and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in management, strategic planning, and public speaking.
  • Excellent project management and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in data analysis and marketing strategy.

Education Requirements

  • CPA certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with tax compliance software.
  • Familiarity with the marketing and advertising industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with state and local tax laws.
  • Manage licensing renewals and registrations across various jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and administrative teams on project management and strategy development.
  • Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports to support business decision-making.
  • Work closely with other departments to facilitate data analysis and interpretation for tax-related activities.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives related to financial and tax compliance.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors, ensuring smooth tax and license audits.
  • Present financial findings and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
