What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and implementation of 5-year strategic sales plans for the USA. Anticipate complex challenges and opportunities at both regional and national levels. Ensure these strategies align seamlessly with the broader company vision.
  • Direct the development of annual and longer-term business plans, quantifying business outcomes (revenues, KPIs), overseeing operating and expense budgets, and reviewing and approving business cases for projects and programs with a material business impact.
  • Oversee the implementation of effective plans, programs, and pricing, developing pricing policies, maintaining brand equities, and exploring new trade channels and business opportunities.
  • Represent WD-40 Company in various industry, institutional, and professional forums, boards, and committees to promote the company's brand or efforts.
  • Leads the USA sales teams to achieve sales and profit goals by implementing appropriate plans, programs, promotions, and pricing. Develops and approves pricing policies, including quantities, terms, and conditions of sale. Develops plans, policies, and programs for USA sales teams to achieve required results, maintain and grow brand equities, and develop new trade channels and business opportunities.
  • Support corporate innovation efforts by aligning Americas Innovation Development Group (AIDG), marketing, supply chain, and sales leadership to properly plan and launch line extensions and new product opportunities to ensure sales and EBITDA results following corporate objectives and processes.
  • Manage and report on business performance; hold direct reports accountable for achieving business plans and take corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of business objectives, balancing the need to deliver short-term business objectives with the longer-term delivery of stakeholder value.
  • Identify the capabilities needed to meet the USA Sales function's current and emerging business needs. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Embed personal development and learning into the organization's culture. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • 15+ years progressive sales experience with a minimum of 10 years successfully leading sales teams to consistently achieve team goals across multiple trade channels. Demonstrated success in bringing significant innovation (sales $100mm+) to multiple trade channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Masters or MBA preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 40% to 60%

Total Rewards

$200,000– $260,000 year includes base salary plus 10% - 15% profit-sharing contribution to your retirement account. Salary is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for up to 50% bonus.
