Job description

We’re looking for a highly motivated, experienced hands-on business development leader to join our team. The VP of Business Development will implement a sales strategy that establishes deep client partnerships, drives organic growth, and extends the Charles Taylor brand in the North American market.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in insurance/Third Party Administration (TPA) sales, and a strong understanding of the worker’s compensation market. This hands-on business development role will drive and expand our Claims Solutions practice with a focus on TPA solutions. As a critical member of the business development team, you will establish new relationships, lead, drive, and win sales pursuits with target clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and maintain revenue growth
  • Build strategic and targeted relationships that drive revenue growth
  • Develop, Implement and Lead specific client action plans
  • Create and maintain executive level relationships with brokers, national insurers, specialty insurers and self-insureds
  • Attend targeted client events and identify promotional opportunities for the company
  • Provide market feedback regarding competitive offerings, emerging trends, and acquisition opportunities
  • Manage client opportunities – including RFP processes and proposal submissions
  • Expand and manage sales pipeline using the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborate with other Charles Taylor businesses for cross-sell opportunities


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of work experience in insurance sales or a similar role, with excellent working knowledge of third-party administration and workers’ compensation
  • Expert in identifying, qualifying, and closing new business
  • Capable of forging relationships and developing influence at all levels of the enterprise
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and respect towards others, as well as accountability and integrity
  • History of multi-million dollar revenue generation
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Positive attitude and meticulous follow-up
  • Travel – mostly domestic
  • Extensive network of relationships with brokers, self-insureds, and/or insurers
