Property Field Adjuster

American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Field Adjuster to join our team in LaPorte, IN. As a Field Adjuster, you will be working the frontlines of our business, supporting customers, in times of need and disaster. You will have the ability to work from home as well as use a company car when visiting policyholders through the northern Indiana area. Candidates must be located near or in Michigan City or LaPorte, IN.

We're seeking an individual with excellent decision making skills, ability to work under pressure, solid organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, as well as time management skills to balance various tasks in a standard work day.

• Provide prompt contact to policy holders and conduct field inspections.
• Handle field claims to conclusion, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis and subrogation/salvage assessment.
• Establish relationships with producing agencies.
• Participation in catastrophe (CAT) duty as needed. CAT duty can be anywhere in the USA up to 3-4 weeks at a time.

Qualifications:

• You have previous property claims experience OR customer service experience coupled with a construction background.
• You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work/industry experience.
• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license are required.
• Industry training, coursework, certifications are preferred. (AIC, CPSU, SCLA)
