Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a
finance leader to support an exciting transformational project with our International Housing non-profit Organization. Reporting to Finance senior leadership, the Finance Transformation Consultant will
provide “future state” processes, practices and controls to support the upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project known as the “Unify project”. The Unify projects’ finance goals are to replace the outdated current finance system and to
provide current global financial processes, practices and controls in order to reduce the amount of administration needed to manage Habitat’s finances and administration across the organization.
The Finance Transformation Consultant will work with the Habitat Finance team and other key stakeholders to
determine key integration points and processes related to grants, gift in kind and shared services as a part of current and future capabilities.
The Finance Transformation Consultant will collaborate with critical subject matter experts and will be
responsible for leading and supporting the requirements, processes and practices for the future state, global finance for the Unify project. The Finance Transformation Consultant will work with the Finance team, Office of Strategy Management, Grants, other Unify project team members and the Chief Information Officer to ensure that the finance requirements reflect the current state of financial practices, achieve the Unify Finance project goals and create the efficiencies Habitat needs.
This
remote or hybrid role will be based in the United States, is expected to last up to 3 years and will require up to 20% travel. Habitat has offices in Atlanta and Americus, Georgia as well as Washington, DC.
Position Responsiblities
Support the Finance requirements development for Unify project (80%):
- Provide “future state” knowledge and expertise for the development of the Finance requirements for Unify
- Provide support to the business case and other analysis that provides insight into the efficiency and benefits of the new Finance system
- Provide insight and expertise into the interfaces, interactions and data relationships needed to deliver a finance system that supports greater global efficiency, grants, and shared services
- Provide insight into practices, processes and controls needed by the new system
Serve as a cross functional lead to synthesize stakeholder needs and priorities outside of Finance (directly). (10%):
- Provide leadership in the gathering of key requirements with Grants, Gift in Kind, and other functions that impact the Finance area
- Provide support to the analysis of shared services and hubbing and how it impacts the Unify effort
All other duties as assigned (10%):
- Other related duties assigned by supervisor and/or Unify sponsors.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years finance, finance strategy, ERP requirements and implementation, change management or operational/management experience working in a complex environment
- International finance experience
- Demonstrated success in completing multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities; ability to meet deadlines
- Experience managing complex projects spanning multiple cross-functional teams
- Experience driving change through matrixed teams
- Commitment to and experience in driving continuous improvement and process change
- Accountability for outcomes through influence vs. authority
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English with excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent team building skills
- Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Computer literate; able to effectively use word-processing, spreadsheet, database and project software
- Knowledge of and passion for Habitat for Humanity’s worldwide mission preferred
- Understanding of Habitat for Humanity’s US federated network preferred

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $136,000 to $160,000.
