Job description

Cigna’s Individual and Family Plans (IFP) Team is seeking a Small Group Sales and Broker Lead Analyst in our sales operations organization to support our small group programs. This individual will be a critical part of the sales enablement team tasked with supporting small group business process and technology in support of our growth strategy. Partnering with our broker distribution team, they will engage with our broker partners to make sure they receive the support needed to drive sales while drawing attention to trends, roadblocks, and emerging issues to ensure a seamless broker experience. This individual will also be responsible for enhancing current processes and participating on projects implementing new procedures to drive overall sales performance and broker process excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our broker distribution team and serve as the liaison to our operations team and various internal and external partners to ensure brokers have everything needed to support small group customers and sales processes.
  • Partner with IT, project management, digital, and marketing to provide input to align on prioritization of broker related critical capabilities and strategic roadmap.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to synthesize complex information from disparate sources into a clear compelling story that helps the organization commit to action.
  • Support the day-to-day broker needs with password resets, new sales and renewal issues, commission questions, open ticket support as well as general support as needed from the brokers. Work toward solutions to meet required SLAs.
  • Document inquiries and tickets while looking for wider impacting trends, reporting them to leadership, and looking for solutions to better our broker experience.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to lead/manage through change. Goal oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business, communications, health care, or proven related experience.
  • 3+ years knowledge of the health insurance industry, regulations, and rules.
  • Experience identifying support gaps, obtaining solutions, and effectively implementing change.
  • Strength in gaining consensus across internal partners.
  • Ability to work within a complex and rapidly changing regulatory environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work independently including strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
  • Experience participating technology projects.
  • Experience working with ticketing system and CRM.
  • Experience working with Broker Relations functions including commissions, technology access, and process support.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 69,900 - 116,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
