Job description

The position

Our client is a leading software company that specializes in safety technology specifically for the education sector. They are in need of an experienced privacy attorney to support a project focused on offshoring certain roles. This attorney will be responsible for analyzing state and local laws and reviewing vendor, customer, and general T&C agreements to assess the company’s ability to offshore specific roles. They will work closely with stakeholders and business teams to draft and finalize the necessary agreements, ensuring that appropriate controls, practices, and procedures are in place. This attorney should have experience with FERPA and international privacy matters specifically relating to offshoring data. This person should have a project management mindset, being able to gather data and drive results.


The client would like to have someone in the seat ASAP and the project duration is 3-6 months. This is a fully remote role with an hourly commitment of 10-20 hours/week. Attorneys can be barred in any state with a preference towards East-Coast based candidates.


The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $100 and $107. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
