AIMCo's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is seeking a proactive and strategic Operational Resilience Manager for an exciting fixed term position. With a strong emphasis on operational resilience, this role entails enhancing AIMCo’s business continuity practices by leveraging professional expertise, experience and knowledge of industry-leading practices.
The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of a robust and effective Operational Resilience Program. This will involve identifying, assessing and planning for potential disruptions to critical business operations across all AIMCo divisions and regional offices. Key responsibilities include reviewing and updating existing policies and procedures and executing an organization-wide Business Impact Assessment.
This role will provide support in integrating the Operational Resilience Program within the Third Party Risk Management Program (TPRM). This integration requires close collaboration with the ERM team, and other key operational support teams such as Global Technology & Data, People & Culture, Legal & Compliance, Workplace, Travel & Security, and Investment Operations.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the importance of business continuity and operational resilience practices. This fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about risk management and operational resilience to make a significant contribution to AIMCo's risk management practices.
Responsibilities
Update and maintain Operational Resilience governance documents
Operationalize and maintain the Operational Resilience database
Update the enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
Support the integration of the Operational Resilience Program and Third Party Risk Management Program.
Support the development of contingency plans for critical third parties
Develop disruptive event scenario testing and lessons learned sessions for regional Incident Management Teams
Assist in raising awareness and provide training on operational resilience topics and practices to team members
Conduct environmental scans to understand potential impacts to AIMCo’s offices and operations
Support updating and ongoing refinement of Business Disruption Key Risk Indicators
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or another related field supplemented by designations such as ABCP, CBCP or other related Operational Resilience/Business Continuity designations.
Minimum 5 years’ direct experience with Operational Resilience/Business Continuity in a financial/investment related work environment.
Limited domestic and international travel may be required.
Key Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices relating to Operational Resilience/ Business Continuity
Experience in documenting and conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) sessions documentation to assess criticality, prioritization and resumption of business functions
Experience in collaboratively developing and socializing operational resilience governance materials (i.e. Business Continuity Plans, Policies, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent presentation skills and ability to tailor technical matters to respective audiences
Proficiency with a Microsoft 365 Environment, including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other relevant tools
