Job Overview

Join our dynamic and innovative team as a Senior Support Technician/Consultant in a fully remote capacity. We are looking for an adept IT and networking expert who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and is dedicated to delivering exceptional technical support. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will be invaluable as you assist our clients in resolving various IT challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, including computers, networks, servers, and systems for our diverse clientele.
  • Lead and execute a variety of IT projects, ranging from minor upgrades to extensive implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues concerning servers, networks, wireless systems, hardware, and software.
  • Maintain and organize IT documentation, network maps, tickets, and notes for client systems.
  • Administer server accounts, ensuring effective domain joining for new and existing computers.
  • Configure and troubleshoot software to ensure optimal operation across platforms.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery processes, employing both local and cloud storage solutions.
  • Perform email migrations for both local and hosted accounts.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems on workstations operating on PC, Mac, and Linux.
  • Provide remote support to clients through phone consultations and remote access technologies.
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux servers, demonstrating expertise in virtualization and Active Directory.
  • Design, implement, and support network infrastructures, including DHCP, DNS, domain setups, firewall configurations, VLANs, and VPN access.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and monitor client systems utilizing remote management tools.
  • Install and configure VOIP phone systems to facilitate seamless communication for our clients.

Required Skills

  • A strong focus on customer service, coupled with proficiency in troubleshooting a wide array of technical issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to convey intricate technical information in a clear and professional manner.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking principles, server administration, and system management across various platforms.
  • Experience working with operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • A collaborative mindset, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently within a team and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous experience in IT and networking roles is desirable with a proven track record in resolving complex network issues.
