Remote Accounting Manager | WFH Opportunity

Job Overview

Join our innovative and rapidly expanding SaaS startup as an Accounting Manager. This fully remote role is specifically for candidates residing on the West Coast. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial operations and contributing directly to the company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate precise financial statements, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards, overseeing the month-end closing process and managing the general ledger.
• Direct the revenue recognition process for our SaaS offerings in alignment with ASC 606, handling billing, collections, and revenue forecasting.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of financial accounts, including banks and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis to inform strategic financial decisions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of findings and maintaining compliance with internal controls.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff, offering guidance and support while collaborating closely with senior management and reporting financial performance to investors.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification, ideally with experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years in a senior role within a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with multi-location or multi-product pricing models is advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks; experience with larger ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience in scaling businesses.
• Prior exposure to IPOs or exits from venture capital-backed enterprises is a plus.
