Job Title: Educational Facilitator (Remote) | WFH

Position Overview

As an Educational Facilitator, you will be instrumental in guiding TK-12 home study families, crafting engaging and tailored educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive educational program for assigned learners, encompassing academic, physical, and extracurricular components.
  • Act as the primary liaison for parents and learners in the home study framework, nurturing supportive and confident relationships.
  • Collaborate with families to design Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) that reflect educational goals and standards.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of learner progress through in-person and virtual check-ins, adjusting instructional techniques as necessary.
  • Maintain organized portfolios and documentation in line with program protocols, ensuring timely collection of monthly work samples.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, activities, and learning outcomes, providing semester grades and progress reports in conjunction with parents.
  • Model effective teaching practices, empowering parents to become facilitators in their children’s education journey.
  • Assist families in understanding program guidelines, policies, and technological tools.
  • Provide additional resources to support at-promise learners in bridging educational gaps.
  • Engage in continual professional development to enrich your expertise in education and home study methodologies.
  • Share pertinent information with staff and families about field studies, workshops, assessments, and school events.
  • Participate and contribute in school-related meetings, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other student-focused gatherings.
  • Proctor state-mandated assessments, ensuring compliance with testing requirements for all learners in your care.
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion when managing sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California Multiple Subject Credential with 24 ECE Units or a Child Development Teacher Permit.
  • ELL Authorization or a CLAD certificate.
  • Negative TB test or a completed risk assessment questionnaire.
  • DOJ fingerprint clearance.
  • Prior experience with homeschool or independent study programs is preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the capacity to perform tasks accurately.
  • Strong moral character and a professional demeanor, serving as a role model for students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, resolve challenges, and prioritize tasks.
