Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Finance Business Analyst to work on the migration from the Research Management System (RMS) to PeopleSoft Grants and Contract module


Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the project team and key stakeholders to elicit information required to produce BA and Training deliverables as needed.

o Business Requirement Documents

o Process modeling

o Gap Assessment

o Risk Assessment

o Test Plan / Test Case

o Training Plan

• Liaise with the ITIO group for additional guidance on ITIO BA standards.

• Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are stored in the official SharePoint project repository.

• Ensure that project decisions are formally documented as per ITIO Methodology.

• Provide reporting and status updates to the ITIO team as required.

• Ensure compliance with University standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Functional skills:

• Ability to work with a large cross-section of users

• Support the implementation of the PeopleSoft Grants and Contracts modules

• Confirm and elaborate system requirements from Finance portfolios for the new modules and successful integration with existing modules

• Confirm and elaborate system requirements from the Finance portfolio

• Fit gap existing PeopleSoft modules and integration to the target state

• Develop functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations.

• Ensure the library of project documentation is maintained and communicated to the consultants, developers, and the entire team

• Good facilitation experience

• Experience with product integration

• Some Operational Change Management experience preferred

• Experience or understanding of post-secondary student feedback surveys preferred

• Experience or understanding of financial accounting and reporting

Non-Functional skills:

• Facilitating group discussion

• Document business processes and procedures

• Post secondary/public sector experience

• Ability to work well with resources and have a dynamic/enthusiastic personality

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong background in data conversion and mapping from third-party systems to PeopleSoft.

• Previous experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, especially Grants, Contracts and Project costing

o Recent experience preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering detailed requirements.

• Experience working on enterprise level programs and familiarity with BA methodologies and tools.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders.

• Strategic, critical and analytical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.

• Influence and engage all levels of stakeholders and support change.

• Must be:

o Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment and changing situations

o A team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

o Able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
