Position Overview
We're looking for a trend-obsessed Social Media Manager to join our team! This role will primarily focus on creating and maintaining unique social media strategies that are driven by the zeitgeist. Daily duties include staying up-to-date on social media trends, creating content, developing strategy and campaigns for new product launches and other key brand moments, and monitoring all social media profiles to assess content response and engagement.
The primary objective of our Social Media Manager is to bolster our brand through social media by way of: identifying target customers, setting clear objectives, building an effective content strategy to engage the audience, increasing traffic and boosting conversions, as well as managing the company's online community by reading customers' comments, answering questions, and actively engaging the audience.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to keep pace in a highly fluid, ever-changing, collaborative workplace and social media landscape. You must also have excellent communication skills and a creative understanding of the social space.
Responsibilities
- Champion all-things social media trends, including staying up to date on current trends, understanding how K18 can organically enter into the conversation, and creating content to execute on those trends
- Work closely with the Sr. Manager of Social & Content to seamlessly execute social media strategy and digital campaigns to attract, engage and grow the K18 community across all social media platforms
- Bring innovative strategic ideas to the table to optimize performance across all social media channels
- Ensure the delivery of successful campaigns while supporting business critical KPIs
- Work with cross-functional departments to drive omni-channel social strategy that engages our customers at every touch point
- Analyze the effectiveness of our content and programming, and provide recommendations for improvement based on data insights and trends
- Manage performance tracking and reporting, including (but not limited to) monthly, campaign and ad-hoc reports for cross-functional and/or leadership teams
- Understand how to leverage social media as a tool to inspire conversion, drive sales, and ignite quality community growth
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Independent self-starter
- Natural storyteller who understands the brand DNA, voice, and aesthetics
- Strong understanding of and interest in the hair space
- Experience in visual storytelling on social media
- Ability to work to in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
- A collaborative team player with an open mind to finding new ways to drive results
- A natural "people person," skilled at building and nurturing relationships, and balancing many priorities
- A genuine passion for the brand, it's mission, customer, and products
- Fluency with analytics
- Knowledge in the KOL (INFLUENCER) landscape
- Strong awareness of social media best practices and platform knowledge, understanding measurement metrics of success
- Familiarity with online analytical tools and social scheduling applications, such as: Dash Hudson, Tribe Dynamics, and Google Analytics
- English, additional language(s) a huge plus
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 (in USD $)
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
