Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Part-Time Grant App Specialists to support KMS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • 5-7 years of experience, B.A. in related field, job experience can be used in lieu of degree

Grants Know-How:

  • knowledge of 2CFR200, familiarity with federal grant-making practices and the structure of Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs), previously Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and standard forms of federal grants

Impeccable Communication Skills:

  • Able to effectively work with colleagues towards common goals, uses clear and effective language, appropriate for the audience, communicates in written and verbal form efficiently and professionally (e.g. reports, letters, emails, etc.)

Analytical Problem Solver:

  • Accurately assesses complexities and dependencies in projects and activities, manages projects to completion through project management tools and regular check-ins with team and client, escalates to supervisor as needed and comes with solutions

Client Familiarity:

  • Experience with a federal grant-making agency and / or state; Strong track record with customer / client satisfaction

Knowledge of Databases, Systems and Workflow: Experience in:

  • Experience in Maintenance of data, databases and systems and assure data integrity and validity; designing and implementation of data management solutions to augment and extend the capabilities of legacy systems; serving as database and systems administrator for industry-standard government-owned and contractor-operated systems, as well as contractor-owned systems; supporting the integrate new systems and resulting data into existing processes and workflows; and / or developing methodologies to support technical team in execution of daily activities to include data storage, data validation, data analysis, etc. to support project goals

Good to Have – But Not Required:

  • Experience with Health & Human Services (HHS), particularly the Administration of Children and Families (ACF)
  • Technical knowledge of issues surrounding early education and childcare
  • Experience with paneling processes for the evaluation of competitive grant applications
  • Work with research and evaluation, event management, and business development teams

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
