Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Python Instructor to deliver engaging virtual training courses focused on Data Analysis. This role is integral to our ongoing initiative to advance digital engineering competencies within our workforce, specifically enhancing data analytics proficiencies through the Python programming language.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive training sessions aimed at developing participants’ core skills in data analytics.
• Write and execute programs while utilizing various analytical tools.
• Document and streamline analytical processes for efficiency.
• Manage and process substantial datasets swiftly.
• Navigate tabular datasets and apply aggregation and reorganization methods for effective data exploration, including labeling dimensions, addressing missing values, and performing time series manipulations.
• Retrieve and interface with data from diverse sources and databases.
• Deliver training courses focusing on the application of Python for data exploration, modeling, and analysis. Each session will accommodate a maximum of 20 participants, with scheduling arranged collaboratively post-selection.
• Ensure all training materials, including presentations and documentation, are provided five business days before the course.
• Conduct courses targeting employees at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in West Bethesda, Maryland, with each course lasting a minimum of four days to thoroughly address essential topics and participant queries.
• Provide a participant roster to the organization following course completion.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib and Seaborn.
• Experience using Pandas for data manipulation tasks.
• Understanding of foundational machine learning concepts with Scikit-learn.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.

• Proven experience as an instructor in data analysis or a related discipline.
