Job description

This is a remote position.

Butterfly Data is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a B2B marketing manager - a role that combines planning, executing and managing marketing strategies that align with our company objectives whilst demonstrating excellent organisation, communication and people skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing, employee-owned company with deep ethical values and a strong sense of teamwork. You will be working alongside senior leadership, project managers and data consultants to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and customer acquisition. We are looking for someone who can deliver a targeted strategy to developing leads, expanding our existing public sector client base and bringing in new private sector opportunities.



  • Develop B2B marketing strategies that align with our business goals, ethics and target audience, avoiding mass-marketing methods such as cold-calling or bulk-email. 

  • Developing our market position and helping to differentiate us from our competitors in an ever growing and competitive environment. 

  • Lead and manage the marketing effort, ensuring that objectives and deadlines are met.

  • Build on the existing brand guidelines, improving and extending them while ensuring consistent implementation across all business areas.

  • Coordinate content creation, ensuring that messaging is consistent across all platforms.

  • Manage the company’s digital marketing efforts, including social media and website updates.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create campaigns that drive lead generation & conversion.

  • Help to coordinate attendance at relevant conferences and events, to promote the company.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of our marketing initiatives, using data to inform future strategy and to develop evidence-based recommendations.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools to keep the company competitive.

  • Ideally 4 days a week




Requirements
The Candidate
  • Must demonstrate creativity in developing marketing strategies while using a logical, independent approach to problem-solving and task ownership.

  • Proactively identify gaps, implied tasks, and take initiative in planning, while maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail in delivery.

  • Communicate confidently and professionally, adapt to various tasks, and collaborate effectively with diverse audiences.

Essential Requirements
  • Fluent English, with the right to work in the UK.

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a part-time team.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Competent with Microsoft/Google office tools (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a B2B marketing agency and/or technology business.

  • Targeting both public and private sector clients.

  • Writing and/or editing marketing copy (website, case studies, white papers, social).

  • Managing external agency partners.

  • Developing and marketing webinars.
