Job description

Job Overview

We are committed to delivering comprehensive outpatient mental health services to adults and elders within our community. Our multidisciplinary treatment team is focused on supporting individuals aged 18 and older who encounter challenges stemming from severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Adult Therapist to be part of our esteemed team. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers a hybrid work model, and candidates must reside locally to effectively engage with our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual diagnostic assessments to ascertain clients' strengths, needs, resources, and objectives.
  • Create personalized treatment plans outlining presenting issues, goals, interventions, and expected outcomes.
  • Complete assessments to evaluate eligibility for state-funded services.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy both in-office and through telehealth.
  • Manage crisis situations and deliver interventions for clients experiencing acute symptom exacerbations, ensuring their safety in home and community settings.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members, natural supports, and external providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain timely and precise documentation for each service rendered.
  • Meet weekly productivity benchmarks with billable service hours (incentive pay available for exceeding expectations).
  • Engage in consultation meetings and committees as directed by your supervisor.
  • Uphold the integrity, confidentiality, and rights of all clients professionally.
  • Execute all services and documentation in alignment with agency policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Maintain professional memberships, licenses, and certifications.
  • Represent our organization with professionalism in all environments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in a mental health field (social work, clinical mental health counseling) is essential.
  • Preferred licensure as an LCMHC or LICSW.
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical judgment in regular, urgent, and emergent situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to document proficiently and effectively during clinical interactions.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • A collaborative team player who is also self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Openness to learning and practicing new clinical skills as agency needs evolve.
