Client Service Leader-Mission Critical

What We're Looking For

Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking a Client Service Leader to conduct business development and lead client relations with private sector clients in the datacenter market. Candidate will need a strong background in datacenter site selection/due diligence and civil design. Best fits for this role could be a Senior project manager who works with architects, MEP consultants, owners & developers, and enjoys the client relationship and business development aspects of the role, or a seasoned professional in developing client relationships and business development in the private sector who is looking for a new challenge with the support of a firm that is ready to give you the resources you need to be successful.

Responsibilities For This Position Include

  • Performs and coordinates land development related business development activities in the data center market.
  • Identifies new partners and business opportunities, increases market share, and builds on Barge's competitive position in the industry.
  • Identifies new clients and establishes relationships with them to continue to grow our presence in the region. Also maintains existing client relationships.
  • Develops and executes client-focused strategies that help Barge achieve growth and meet financial profitability goals.
  • Accomplishes this by establishing strong internal relationships with directors, project managers, and other subject matter specialists on reconnaissance, pursuits, and securing of work.
  • Promotes and closely collaborates with the various technical disciplines supporting the Private Sector Market, which include (but not limited to) civil engineers, environmental scientist, landscape architects, and surveyors.
  • Collaborates with technical leads and marketing professionals to complete go/no go analysis and develop win plans.
  • Guides and leads the development of proposals collaborating with the Project Manager and other professionals to identify the scope, schedule, and budget and assists in any fee negotiations.
  • Represents the company at various events including promoting the company at client events and industry trade association meetings.
  • Maintains communication with the team to monitor progress of the project, routinely engages with client during project and leads any needed conflict resolution. Occasionally may be called to provide technical support to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Collects, reports, and maintains opportunity status using CRM.
  • Contributes to development of annual sales plan and commits to meeting personal sales goals which include annual contracts secured goal and business development budget goal.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the A&E and survey industry with demonstrated success in business development, client services and retention preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated success working with datacenter clients that can include working with local private Owners and developers, various community or datacenter development organizations, or other relevant industries or clients.
  • Professional Network in market area.
