The Workers' Compensation Eligibility Case Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing workers' compensation claims within a self-insured environment. This role involves assessing claim eligibility, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims Assessment: Evaluate new claims for eligibility under self-insurance policies and applicable workers' compensation laws.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with injured employees, healthcare providers, legal teams, and customer injury management personnel to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities, communications, and decisions made throughout the claims process.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all claims comply with state and federal regulations and internal policies regarding self-insurance.
  • Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to injured employees regarding their rights, benefits, and responsibilities under workers' compensation laws.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training of staff on workers' compensation assessment processes and self-insurance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources, Risk Management desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims management or case management.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and self-insurance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy.

Working Conditions

  • Blended office-based work and work from home.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings or site visits.
