Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our esteemed team in Chandler, AZ, with the flexibility of a remote work environment. This pivotal role involves assisting customers in navigating their mortgage options, with an emphasis on purchase lending. Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with Clients: Interact with both prospective and existing clients to explore their mortgage options for purchase loans, including occasional refinance opportunities for prior clients.
  • Manage Loan Processes: Ensure that all loan processes comply with legal and company standards, adhering to relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Follow Up: Maintain correspondence with prospective clients to collect necessary documentation, assess credit reports, and conduct additional research as required.
  • Educate Clients: Possess comprehensive knowledge of FHA, FNMA, FHMC, VA, and USDA products to deliver exceptional service and clear communication throughout the lending process.
  • Ensure Compliance: Guarantee that all loans align with company guidelines and comply with state and federal regulations as well as investor requirements.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work in tandem with operations staff to facilitate a seamless file flow, ensuring outstanding customer service to both clients and agents.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain connections with real estate agents, concierge services, and title companies to foster collaboration.
  • Engage Professionally: Actively participate in professional associations or community groups as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of Mortgage Products: Familiarity with FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, and USDA loan products, as well as purchase transactions.
  • Guidelines Expertise: Proficiency in understanding underwriting guidelines and loan origination systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with industry-specific software (e.g., Lead Management Systems, DU, LP, Appraisal Management Software) is preferred.

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of mortgage products and purchase transactions.
  • Previous experience in mortgage lending or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
