Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled individual to take on the role of Associate Clinical Director in a remote capacity, overseeing the coordination of student activities within the Oklahoma clinical area. This pivotal position will entail managing clinical schedules, leading pre- and post-clinical conferences, organizing Mortality/Morbidity conferences, and facilitating journal club meetings. You will also bear teaching responsibilities for the Clinical Practicum courses as delineated in the curriculum. This is a part-time remote role with the expectation of campus presence once a month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination of clinical instruction for students in Oklahoma.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical agencies and the educational institution.
  • Facilitate communication between students and clinical personnel, including clinical coordinators and supervising CRNAs.
  • Review and monitor students' monthly case records and time logs.
  • Participate in, instruct, and supervise students in administering anesthesia.
  • Conduct regular clinical site visits and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Clinical Coordinator in Kansas to bolster student success.
  • Engage in monthly meetings with the Program Administrator to assess students' clinical progress.
  • Organize and conduct clinical conferences at least once per semester.
  • Partake in clinical conferences in Kansas.
  • Provide clinical support during the absence of the Clinical Director in Kansas.
  • Incorporate ethical and professional principles into nursing practice.
  • Maintain clinical competence and proficiency.
  • Engage in activities to ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in designated university and program committees.
  • Attend program, school, and university events as specified in the calendar and handbook.
  • Complete all mandated training, including Title IX and FERPA.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • A master's degree is a minimum requirement; preference will be given to candidates with a DNAP, DNP, or PhD.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in administrative, clinical, and didactic roles is required.
  • Possession of Oklahoma nursing credentials including registered nurse licensure, advanced registered nurse practitioner certification, and registered nurse anesthetist authorization.
  • Current knowledge and training in curriculum instruction, testing, and evaluation.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
